This Black Friday, In-Store Shopping Dropped, While Online Shopping Rose
The biggest shopping day of the year was clearly affected by Covid. This Black Friday, in-store shopping dropped 52% in the U.S., suggesting that fewer people visited stores in person.
Meanwhile, online shopping got a boost of 22% more spent than last year. Many of those who shopped in-store, spent a good chunk of money at big brand stores like Walmart and Target.
