Video: Aurora Woman Charged $5,700 For a Cup of Coffee at Gaylord Rockies Resort

Lisa Angello went to the Gaylord Rockies Resort on Christmas Eve and bought a cup of coffee at the Marketplace. A few days later Lisa, she received an alert from her bank, USAA, about an insufficient funds fee. Lisa thought that was odd because she’s always aware of her finances and has never had an insufficient funds fee. Lisa skimmed her statement and saw a charge for $5705.70. At first she thought it was fraud but then realized it was from when she ordered that cup of coffee for $5.70. Now for the past two months Lisa has been trying to get her money back but she has been caught in a customer service nightmare. Gaylord Rockies Resort says they refunded the money on January 22nd but then her bank says they never got it. Then USAA gave her a credit but then took it back. Finally it wasn’t until Channel 7 contacted USAA that they started helping Lisa get her money back but still the issue isn’t resolved.
