Video: Family Kicked Off Flight at DIA Because 2-Year-Old Refused to Wear a Mask
Eliz Fulop, her husband and 2 year old daughter were kicked off a United Flight at DIA after their 2 year old daughter refused to wear a mask on the flight to New Jersey from DIA.
Eliz says the family flies United frequently but did not review the company’s mask policy when it comes to children before boarding.
The couple says the crew asked their daughter’s age upon boarding, and instructed that she needed to wear a mask, and provided one for the family, since they did not have one for her.
Eliz says she started recording after hearing the pilot mention passengers were going to be removed from the flight.
The family did get a full refund from United.
In a statement United Airlines said,
“The health and safety of our employees and customers is our highest priority, which is why we have a multi-layered set of policies, including mandating that everyone onboard two and older wears a mask. These procedures are not only backed by guidance from the CDC and our partners at the Cleveland Clinic, but they’re also consistent across every major airline.”
Now here’s the thing the mom admits she didn’t read the rules and guidelines. I flew united last week and trust me they send you the guidelines and make you check the agree checkbox when booking and while you’re checking in at the kiosk. I saw little kids with masks on, those parents prepared their kids why couldn’t these parents? They should probably look into other travel options that are more suitable for them. They could also look for an airline that has a more lenient policy. United Airlines is a business that sets forth their own policy.
